Bourbon Steak Marinade

Back in the Stone Age, when I was in college, I took a class in macroeconomics to fulfill a degree requirement.  (I’d never had any particular interest in economics.)  However, the professor turned out to be one of the more memorable figures of my college education.

He had two charming habits.

First, he addressed every student as “Doctor.”  If your last name was Moseman, you became “Dr. Moseman” for the duration of the semester.  We were not just junior college students, no—we were the doctoral elite, if only for one hour every Tuesday.

Second, he would insert the non sequitur “Put a little bourbon in it” to the lecture whenever he noticed our interest flagging.

Supply side economics?  Put a little bourbon in it.

I came out of that class thinking that bourbon must be quite magical.

So, in honor of my long-ago professor of economics, I encourage you to put a little bourbon in it by using this bourbon steak marinade.  It was created by my friends over at Certified Angus Beef, and it’s sure to add some magic to your favorite cuts.
