So this is it! My official launch. It has been quite a road to get to this point. Over the past couple of months I've spent countless hours researching, learning, setting up, and testing this site. I read 5 books and tons of articles on the web. I was working on it in my sleep too. I would dream about it and wake up not knowing if I had actually made those changes or not. I finally reached a point where I felt it was time to take the leap and launch my blog and today is that day.
Why did I start this blog? Because I have the burning desire to share and connect with the world. With this blog I can share discoveries about the things I love, chronicle my adventures, and highlight great happenings & places in my corner of the world. I can tell my story. And who knows? Someone might find a favorite new recipe, try a different wine, or learn a different way to do something. I want to learn new things too. Besides all of that...why start a blog? Why not!
Very special thanks to two people. First to my wonderful husband for supporting me in this endeavor, listening to my ramblings about it, and being by my side. Second to my truly talented and dear friend Terry, @tbgdesign on twitter, for encouraging me, cheering me on, and creating the awesome header and other graphic design I could have never done on my own.
Thanks go out to so many others. I found so much incredible help and support from the twitter community and the friends who knew I was starting a blog. I really could not have gotten this far without you. I am so grateful for and amazed by all your kindness and generosity. There are so many great and giving people out there. My life has been enriched by you.
Oh, and the dog in the photo is Lexie. That is the look she gives me when she is telling me it is playtime. So through her eyes I am inviting the world to come and visit my virtual playground and have some fun. Take this journey with me and see what happens.
