This spring has been absolutely gorgeous. The past few years it felt as though it went right from winter to blazing hot summer. This year there has been plenty of rain and spring-like temperatures. The landscape is lush and flowers are abundant. Then it came time for me to trim my shrubs and Mother Nature decided to turn up the heat. It was hot and incredibly humid. Cooling down took hours and I craved a cold, crisp white wine. Luckily, I had a bottle of Kitchen Sink White Table Wine in the fridge.
Kitchen Sink White Table Wine hit the spot! What a great wine for a hot day. I tasted melon in the first sip. It instantly brought up visions of eating fresh cut melons in the summer. Next sip I noticed more lively fruits like pear and tangerine along with a slight hint of spice. It is a crisp, dry white wine. It is made from Chardonnay, Chenin Blanc, and Gewurtztraminer. It retails around $10 which makes it a nice everyday wine.
This is the second Kitchen Sink wine I have enjoyed. The first was the Reserve Red. Kitchen Sink wines are made by Adler Fels in Santa Rosa, California. According to the winery, the white table wine undergoes a long, cool, slow ferment in stainless steel tanks to retain the bright varietal aromatics. Their tasting notes include “Aromas of melon, pear, tangerine, and rose petals are layered with a slight lychee note with a hint of lemon rind”.
Do I recommend this wine? Absolutely, yes. I plan to stock up on it for the hot summer days ahead. I am sure my friends who prefer white wine would very much enjoy this one. Cheers!
