Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 2 large eggs
  • 15 ounces Libby's Pure Pumpkin canned
  • 12 fluid ounces Nestle Carnation evaporated milk
  • 1 unbaked deep dish 9-inch pie crust see pie crust note

Instructions

  1. Mix sugar, cinnamon, salt, ginger and cloves in small bowl. Beat eggs in large bowl. Stir in pumpkin and sugar-spice mixture. Gradually stir in evaporated milk.

  2. Pour into pie shell.

  3. Bake in preheated 425° F oven for 15 minutes. Reduce temperature to 350° F; bake for 40 minutes or until knife inserted near center comes out clean. Cool on wire rack for 2 hours. Serve immediately or refrigerate.

Recipe Notes

Pie crust note: If you have a regular pie crust but not a deep dish pie crust, leave out a little pie filling so that the pie doesn't bubble up and overflow when cooking.

Allergy note: If you are gluten free, use all gluten free ingredients and swap in a gluten free pie crust instead of a conventional pie crust.  For a dairy free version, use evaporated dairy free milk, such as evaporated coconut milk.
