Grilled Lemon Cherry Drop Martini

A recipe for Grilled Lemon Cherry Drop Martini. Lemons are grilled to enhance the flavor then the juice is shaken with vodka, cherry syrup, and ice.

Ingredients

  • 2 to 3 lemons
  • Olive oil
  • 1 1/2 ounces vodka
  • 3 teaspoons cherry syrup*

Instructions

  1. Heat grill to medium-high. Cut lemons in half and brush cut sides with olive oil.
  2. If grilled lemon slices are desired for garnishing, cut a lemon into 1/3-inch slices and brush one side with olive oil.
  3. Grill lemons cut side down until charred, about 3 minutes for lemon halves and 1 minute for slices.
  4. Squeeze and strain the juice from the lemon halves.
  5. Combine 1 1/2 ounces grilled lemon juice, vodka, and cherry syrup in a cocktail shaker. Fill with ice, cover, and shake vigorougly.
  6. Pour and strain shaken mixture into a chilled martini glass.
  7. Garnish with grilled lemon slices if desired.

*The syrup from homemade cherries in syrup is recommended.
