Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter at room temperature
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup firmly packed light brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups chocolate chips
  • 1 cup sweetened coconut flakes
  • 1 cup chopped pecans

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Line baking sheets with parchment or non-stick liner.
  2. Whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt in a medium bowl.
  3. Cream butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar in a large bowl using a hand mixer on high speed.
  4. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  5. Add vanilla and beat to combine.
  6. Add flour and beat on low speed until just combined. Do not over-mix.
  7. Stir in chocolate chips, coconut, and pecans.
  8. Drop by tablespoonful 2 inches apart onto prepared baking sheets.
  9. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes or until golden brown.
  10. Cool cookies on baking sheet for 1 minute. Transfer cookies to a cooling rack and cool completely.
