A chocolate and coffee flavored mocktail version of the classic grasshopper cocktail drink, which originated in the French Quarter of New Orleans, Louisiana.

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 teaspoon mint extract
  • 1/2 drop of green food coloring optional
  • 2 tablespoons chocolate syrup AMERICAN HERITAGE® brand recommended
  • 1/2 cup strong coffee
  • whipped cream

Instructions

  1. Stir together the milk, cream, mint extract, and green food coloring (if used) until combined.

  2. Spoon the chocolate syrup into a 8 ounce glass.

  3. Slowly pour the mint milk/cream mixture over the chocolate syrup.

  4. Over the back of a spoon, pour the coffee slowly over the milk.

  5. Add a dollop of whipped cream.
