What is CityPASS?

Our activities with CityPASS were sponsored in part by Visit Tampa Bay.  All opinions are my own.

What is CityPASS?

CityPASS is a program that allows you to purchase admission to the top attractions in a particular area at a substantial discount.

Recently, we used our Tampa Bay CityPASS to access some of the best family attractions in Tampa, including Busch Gardens, the Florida Aquarium, ZooTampa at Lowry Park, the Clearwater Aquarium, and a choice of the Museum of Science & Industry or the Chihuly Collections.

Our CityPASS tickets saved lots of time because we were able to avoid having to stand in line to purchase tickets at each attraction.  Right now, the current Tampa Bay CityPASS saves you over 50% in comparison to regular ticket prices!

CityPASS tickets are currently available in 14 destinations.

  • Atlanta
  • Boston
  • Chicago
  • Dallas
  • Denver
  • Houston
  • New York City
  • Orlando
  • Philadelphia
  • San Francisco
  • Seattle
  • Southern California
  • Tampa Bay
  • Toronto

Advantages of a CityPASS

If you plan to fill your itinerary with activities, CityPASS will help you have more fun for less money.  A CityPASS is easy to purchase and easy to use, with options for mobile ticketing or paper vouchers to suit your preference.  There’s no time spent purchasing tickets from multiple attractions; complete one streamlined checkout process, and you’re done.

Where to buy a CityPASS

Depending on the destination, some CityPASS tickets can be purchased online (with mobile vouchers or paper vouchers available), and some can be purchased at participating attractions.

At this time, Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Houston, Seattle, Tampa Bay, Toronto New York City, San Francisco, New York, and San Francisco CityPASS tickets can be purchased online or at participating attractions, while New York C3 and San Francisco C3 tickets are sold exclusively online at citypass.com.  Denver and Philadelphia C3, C4, and C5 tickets are also sold exclusively online at citypass.com, as are Orlando and Southern California theme park tickets.  See the CityPASS website for the latest info.

I lived in Tampa as a kid and used to visit my grandmother after we moved away. It is such a fun city to live in and visit. My daughter lives in NYC now, so I will check into a CityPASS when we go to visit her.
