Tiger Butter Candy

Tiger Butter Candy is a sweet treat made with only 3 ingredients: white chocolate, peanut butter, and semi-sweet chocolate. Make it to share or give as holiday gifts.

A candy for peanut butter and chocolate lovers. I discovered this treat many years ago at a holiday party. I could not keep my hands out of the candy dish. I am sure I took some home too. This candy is that addictive (or at least it is for me). Of course when I discover new treats I want the recipe. I searched and searched through cookbooks but no luck. Oh, and this was back before all the easy online searches and thousands of recipes we can find on the internet these days.

Tiger Butter Candy

Then my friend Terri gave me a cookbook for my birthday:Kitchen Keepsakes By Request” by Bonnie Welch and Deanna White, illustrated by Pam Hake. A recipe for Tiger Butter was in the cookbook. Yes! I finally had a recipe. I adapted it with some modifications to the cooking method. I have been making this candy almost every year for Christmas. Each year it disappears quickly. I think the Tiger stripes are pretty, just like my little Tiger:

Tiger, a whippet

Meet Tiger, one of my whippets. How about those stripes! You can see why I named him Tiger. It was the first name that popped in my head when I saw him. He is doing one of his favorite things; lounging on the couch. Or lounging in the sun, or on the bed, or any other comfortable spot he can find. He has a very happy and spoiled life.

Tiger Butter is easy, quick, and great for gifts. It would be a great addition to your lineup of holiday treats. Make some for your loved ones and watch how they keep going back to the candy dish. Ho Ho Ho, Merry Christmas!
